SCAMS Console & Monitoring

The SCAMS supports the following monitoring and control functions: Propulsion plant control effected from any of the six control stations (consoles) or from the portable operating unit (POU) or from the portable propulsion control unit (PPCU) or from the dedicated propulsion control panels at the MCR and Bridge control consoles. Electrical power generation and distribution system control effected from any of the six control stations (consoles), or from the POU, or from the PPCU. Auxiliary system control effected from any of the six control stations (consoles), or from the POU, or from the PPCU. Damage control system operation effected from any of the six control stations (consoles), or from the POU, or from the PPCU. Vibration monitoring and analysis effected from any of the six control stations (consoles), or from the POU, or from the PPCU.

RTU & PLC Units Supply and Install

A remote terminal unit (RTU) is a microprocessor – controlled electronic device that interfaces objects in the physical world to a distributed control system or SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system by transmitting telemetry data to master system, and by using messages from the master supervisory system to control connected objects. Several industries use programmable logic controllers (PLC) to overhaul the electric operations of an object. For example, in the manufacturing industry, PLCs control the automated machines used for the assembly line.
